Juanita "Pete" Berry

Juanita "Pete" Berry (Maynor), 82, of Fort Oglethorpe, GA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2019. For the past several years, she has resided in Germantown, TN with her loving family.  Juanita was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 424. Juanita “Pete” was born September 4, 1936 in Winchester, TN to Floyd and  Adrian Lutrell. Pete was a loving Friend, Aunt, Sister-in-law, and especially Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother to all that knew her and loved her.

She was preceded in death by husband Harvey Maynor of 30 years, her second husband Doyle Berry of 11 years, sister Dorothy Matthews, and brother John Lutrell.

Pete is survived by her daughter Linda Smith (Danny); grandchildren Amy Mrva (Ben), and Andrew Smith (fiance’ Kim); two great grandchildren Hayes and Delaney; sister-in-law Helen Shavers; as well as many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Pete will take place at 1:00 pm on Monday August 12th at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.  Interment will be in Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Sunday, at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
