Joyce (Brooks) Hickey

Joyce Brooks Hickey, 89, of East Ridge, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 15, 2020. She graduated from Central High School, Class of 1948. Joyce was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was a charter member of South Seminole Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 60 years. Mrs. Hickey retired from Blood Assurance after 10 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Harrison Hickey.

Survivors include daughters, Sandra (Kenneth) Marine, of Maryville, TN, Janet (Alan) Brewer, of Ooltewah and Lori (Mike) Winnie, of South Pittsburg, TN; grandchildren, Jennifer Shields, Amy (Chris) Holder, Taylor and Evan Winnie; great-grandchildren, Abbie and Izzy Shields, Ginny and Wesley Holder.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Drew Tankersley and Rev. Ron Perry officiating. Interment in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to South Seminole Baptist Church or Samaritans Purse.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 Tuesday and 10-11 Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
