John Christopher Pierce

John Christopher Pierce, 46, of Chattanooga passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020. John was born July 17, 1973 in Palatka, FL. He was a resident of the North Georgia/Chattanooga area for about 30 years and attended First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe. John was an independent contractor who operated as a welding engineer and inspector. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hiking, scuba diving and animals. The only things he loved more than taking pictures of the sunset and rise was spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rufus (Nettie) Jones and John (Leauvecha) Pierce.

Survivors include his parents, John Larry and Sarah Pierce; sisters, Lynn (Bob) Pierce and Tonya (Ben) Pierce; aunts, Linda Brown, Rosalee Reece, Leona Frady, Dana and Nancy Jones; cousins, Jana (Brad), Toby (Nicole), Rhonda (Emory), Lisa and Rodney.

Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Harr officiating.
