John Martin Elder

John Martin Elder, 73, North Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018.  He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and of the Baptist faith.  John retired from New York Carpet World in Ringgold after 20 years of service.  John loved fishing and playing with his grandbabies.

Survivors are son, Marty Elder, Ringgold; daughter, Angela Jordan, Chattanooga, Angel Elder, LaFayette, daughter-in-law, Vickie Nicholson, Ooltewah; brothers, Robert Elder, Chickamauga, Leroy Elder, Ringgold; sister, Dorothy Pilkingston, and Mary Hicks, both of Ringgold, and several grandchildren,  great-grandchildren and  nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2-4 PM, Thursday, at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
