John "Derrick" Couch

John “Derrick” Couch RN, MSN, FNP, 52, of East Ridge passed on Saturday, July 4th, 2020. He was a life-long resident of East Ridge and of the Christian faith. Derrick loved playing music and was a member of the Micks Band. Derrick was employed at MedFirst Medical in Fort Oglethorpe for the past 21 years. He loved his family and was affectionately known as Bop Bop by his loving grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Karol Couch; parents, David and Connie Couch; sons, Bron Couch and Chase (Mahala) Couch; sisters, Michelle Couch Cagle and Kim Couch Wilkey; two sweet and adorable grandchildren, Kendall and Cooper Couch; loving aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Tommy Waters officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff Parris, Craig Overturf, Shane Sullivan, Rob Waters, David Everett, Bron and Chase Couch.
