James ”Jimmy” H. Swearingin, 76, of Ringgold passed away peacefully Friday, Nov 6, 2020 at his home. He was born into farming and later became an entrepreneur owning his own mechanic business. He enjoyed Alabama football, dancing & teaching dance, his sons Porsche racing, Classic Muscle Cars & all the East Coast Car shows or travel events he could attend. He lived his life for his grandchildren, two sons, family, friends and his neighbors. He loved to help others and never met a stranger.
He will be truly missed by his family, friends & the people fortunate enough to have crossed his path. He was dad, He was pawpaw, He was Mr Jimmy.
Survivors include his sons, Curt (Shawnan) Swearingin and Greg (Michell) Swearingin; sister, Joyce Swearingin Burrage; and grandchildren, Collin, Layne and Dylan Swearingin.
A graveside service will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
