James “Jimmy” Edward Cain, 81, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Jimmy was born on October 21, 1942 in Ringgold, Georgia to the late Georgia Mae Dinsmore and William Franklin “Billy” Cain. He owned and operated Cain’s Wrecker Service for many years during which time he helped so many people in need. At present Jimmy was the longest tenured member at Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle where he loved attending the Pioneer Men’s Class. Jimmy served with the Catoosa County Fire Department for many years and served one term as Fire Chief. He enjoyed many years of fishing, hunting and loved any activities and traveling with his family and church family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Lynn Cain and sister, Sandra Pitts.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Brenda Cain; daughters, Kymberly (Tony) Jones and Candi (Ray) Gracy; grandchildren, Trevor (Taylor) Jones, Cain Stover and Georgia Gracy; great-grandchild, Walker Jones; and sisters, Barbara Davis, Brenda (Ray) Elliott, Debbie (Sid) Williams; sister, Debbie (Donald) Haddock; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, April 22, 2024 at Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle with Pastor Justin Gazaway officiating. The body will lie-in-state two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
