Jerry Wayne Hunter of Rossville, GA, passed away on May 15, 2022.

He was born in Dadeville, AL, to parents Howard and Mary Hunter and raised in Ohio where he later played college football at Bowling Green State University.

Jerry moved to Chattanooga 46 years ago and enjoyed many years of coaching his children in various sports. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and the TN Vols, but his biggest joy in life was his grandchildren.

Jerry will be remembered and forever loved by his wife, Carol, and his children Kristen (Jay) LaPoint, Kylie (Shane) Neal, and Mark Hunter. He is also survived and loved by eight grandchildren: Mallory, Owen, Casey, Madeline, Camryn, Julianna, Cole, and Zac.
