James Arnold York

James Arnold York 80, of Fort Oglethorpe went home to be with the Lord Saturday January 1, 2022.

He was born on April 29, 1941 a son of the late Bamer and Eula York. James has lived most of his life in the North Georgia area and was a member of the Fairview Nazarene Church.

Mr. .York was Owner of the A&B Food distributors for many year and was a member of the East Lake Lodge # 698 F&AM.

He loved sitting in his garage and visiting with the neighbors and their pets as they would pass by. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother O.L. York

Survivors are his loving wife of 61 years Mary Lee York; sons Danny York and Daniel York; brothers Ira and Kenneth York.  Grandchildren Brandon York, Danielle York, John Boy, and Dale Thompson; great grandchildren Jayce York, Emlee York, Logan Todd, and Ethan Ledford.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 4, 2022 in the funeral home Chapel with Pastor Seth Thompson officiating.

Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens South Tuesday January 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m

The family will receive friend from 5-8 p.m. Monday January 3, 2022 at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway..
