James T. Lamunyon, 90, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at his home. He was born on Sand Mountain, AL on December 19, 1928, but had lived in North Georgia for the past 70 years. Mr. Lamunyon was a member of the Rossville Church of God where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for many years. He was employed by Container Corporation for 50 years. He loved spending time with his grandkids and watching Alabama Crimson Tide Football.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Tressie Lamunyon; and his brothers, T.H. Lamunyon, David Lamunyon,William Robert Lamunyon and Irby Smith.
Survivors include his sons, Larry (Dinah) Lamunyon and Terry (Molly) Lamunyon; half-brother, Ray Stewart; grandchildren, Roger (Stephanie) Lamunyon, Jessica (Jeremy) Bynum, and Sarina (Anthony) Blansfield; great-grandchildren, Taylor (Riana) Lamunyon, Julie Lamunyon, Katelyn (Logan) Russell, Paige Bynum, Joseph Bynum, Ty Blansfield, Tayelor Blansfield, Teagan Blansfield, and Trinity Blansfield; along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2 PM Monday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
