James Charles Gamble

James Charles Gamble, 88, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord Monday, September 21, 2020. James was born August 17, 1932 in Stevenson, AL to the late William Russell Gamble and Jennie Grider. He spent the majority of his life in the North Georgia/ Tennessee area and was a member of The Crossing Church in Chattanooga. He served in the United States Air Force and was the owner of 5 Gamble Shell Gas Stations, Gamble Construction and Gamble Insulation.
 
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Violet; daughters, Carmen and Tami Gamble.
 
Survivors include his son, Ronnie Gamble; grandsons, Kip Cobb and Kevin Cobb; brothers, John and Bob; sister, Virginia; 7 great-grandchildren.
 
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Friday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Smith officiating. Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
