James Edward Floyd

James Edward Floyd, 74, of Ringgold passed away Monday, March 5, 2018. Born November 14, 1943 in LaFayette, GA, to many he was known as Jimmy or Snowball. A graduate of LaFayette High School, he retired as a Supervisor from Shop Rite Supermarkets after more than 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Wiley Floyd and Lillian Roach Floyd and his brother, William Ernest Floyd.

Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Eddie Madewell Floyd, Ringgold; daughters, Allison Lynn Floyd (Bill Stewart), Athens, GA and Meridith Suzanne Davis (Martin Davis), Colbert, GA; sisters, Bettie Davis, Dayton, TN, Gail Pritchard, Chattanooga and Joyce Smith, LaFayette; and grandchildren, Dylan and Daniel Davis.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ben Cathey of Ringgold UMC officiating.
