John “Jack” Joseph Yankovich, Jr, 82, of Fort Oglethorpe, passed away on August 4, 2019. Jack was born March 29, 1937, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to the late John and Lucy Yankovich. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Hutcheson Medical Center after over 20 years of service. Jack is preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years Peggy Yankovich and his second wife of 5 years, Mary Ann Headrick.
Mr. Yankovich is survived by step-daughter, Rhonda West, Chattanooga, Penny McRae, Chattanooga, sister Mary (Joe) Joan Yankovich Ream, Downers, Grove, IL, 3 nephews, 1 niece, 6 great nieces and nephews, and 3 great-great nephews.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Jack will take place 2 PM, Thursday, in the funeral home chapel with pastors Mike West and Mike McRae officiating. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army.
