Jack Eugene Stone

Jack Eugene Stone, 74, of Fort Oglethorpe went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was born on December 5, 1946 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Francis and Nellie Stone. Jack was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1964. He was a 53 year member at Edgewood Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Mr. Stone was a Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 218 and a member at the Daisy Lodge #706 and Ridgedale Lodge #660. He was an avid Tennessee Vols fan, enjoyed golfing, fishing, travelling and just being outdoors. He was the best Daddy and Pop and will be greatly missed.
 
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Forrest Stone.
 
Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Stone; son, William Stone; daughter, Elizabeth (Jason) Steadman; sister, Martha Ann Stone; grandchildren, Haley (Hunter) Harris, Tanner Grant Stone and Morgan Allen, Natalie Rose Stone, Gabrielle Elizabeth Steadman and Emilee Reese Steadman; along with his great-granddaughter, Blakely Paige Stone.
 
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. T. Dale Kidd officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
