Ms. Hilda represented all the good and honorable traits that one could in our society.

We loved Hilda. Her cheery disposition and great memory were amazing. She never complained or was grouchy. It seemed as if she never met a stranger and was always ready to to places. I hope I am like that in years to come. She set a wonderful, Godly example for us all. I rejoice that she is now in heaven, praising the King.

We loved Hilda’s ready smile, her sparky good cheer, and quick wit. At mom’s 100th we asked her, at 95 plus, how she was doing: “Well, I’m not kickin as high as last year, but, I’m GOOD!” She shared many of her family photos with us from her mother’s side of the family, which we deeply appreciated. Her memory was pretty remarkable, too. May she Rest In Peace. We send sincere condolences to all her family and relatives. She was a cherished relative. We loved Hilda’s good cheer and wit! At mom’s 100th birthday party, we asked her how she was doing and she gave her big clear-eyed smile and said “well, I’m not kickin’ quite as high, but I’m GOOD!” She was past 95 then. She shared her family photos with us, as we are from the Varnell side (her mother’s side). May she Rest In Peace. We will miss her and send our heartfelt condolence to her family. Family of Mayrelou Varnell Thomas: George, Marilyn, Patricia and their families: Rob, Tom, Donna, Trisha.

My life has been forever changed because of the love and generosity of this precious lady. She taught me everything I know about flowers, trees, and shrubs. We spent endless days driving to greenhouses all over the south. Laughter was our constant companion, and we worked hard to stay out of trouble. Hilda was one of my dearest friends, and I will miss her so much. I want to be just like her when I grow up!

Nothing is more precious than life, its a wonderful gift that our creator God has given to us. So when we lose someone as dear to us as Hilda, its only natural for us to mourn her loss.. But God does have a plan in mind to eliminate the problem which is death, He promises in ( Revelation 21:3,4 ) to do away with it once and for all. And not only that but his son Jesus promises to return our love ones to us in the resurrection hope ( John 5:28,29 ) May these promises bring comfort to the family during your time of need.
