Herman Houston Dean, Jr.

Herman Houston Dean Jr., 88, of LaFayette passed away peacefully Saturday, October 26, 2019. Herman was born June 7, 1931 in Ducktown, TN to the late Herman Houston Sr. and Hazel Taylor Dean.  He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia/ Chattanooga area. He retired from Colonial Bread. He was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Rock Springs. Herman enjoyed being outdoors and serving others.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Bob Dean; sisters, Dode Barnes, Vera Dean and Autherine McMahan.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Ethel Dean; son, Timothy (Donna) Dean of LaFayette; brother, Gene Dean; grandchildren, Zach (Jessika) Dean, John Dean and Rebecca Dean.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
