Gladys C. York

Gladys Christine York, 91, of Chickamauga passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021. She was born November 15, 1929 in Langston, AL to the late Andrew Jackson and Vera Geneva Shavers. She worked as the office clerk at Crystal Springs in Chickamauga for 50 years to retirement. More than anything she loved taking care of and spending time with her loving family.
 
She is preceded by her loving husband of over 50 years Ivon York; daughter, Angela Faith York Evans.
 
Survivors include her sons, Ray (Sue) York of Portland, OR and Ken (Sandra) York of Chickamauga; sister, Bettye Bryant of Scottsboro, AL; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren also survive.
 
Funeral services will be 4 PM, Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Billy York officiating. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
