Gerald Wayne Roszell, 73 of Rossville passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Gerald was born February 13, 1948 in Fort Oglethorpe to the late Howard Joshua and Irene Chilcutt Roszell. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia Area, ordained deacon, and member of Faith Baptist Church in Ringgold. He worked for Nabisco for 28 years as a truck driver and eventually retired with Krispy Kreme after many years of service. The only thing he loved more than tending to his garden every year or singing in church was spending time with his loving family.
He is preceded by his brother, Howard “Red” Roszell and sister, Wanda Roszell Owens.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Betty Roszell; sons, David “Shannon” (Misty) Roszell and William (Janette) Roszell; daughter, Michelle (Matthew) Cooke; grandchildren, Ava, Micah, Josiah, Noah, Jay, Whitney, Hunter, Sara and Mary; 2 great-grandchildren, Remington and Jackson; sister, Sandra (Jerry) McDaniel of Jacksonville, FL.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Saturday at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Thomasson officiating. Interment will be at Fuller Cemetery in Ider, AL.
