Geneva Smith

Geneva Smith, 87, of Chickamauga, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 25, 2021. Geneva had lived in Atlanta until 1967 and worked for Bellsouth. She was a member at Burning Bush Baptist Church. She worked with the Cub Scouts and was a Den Mother for many years. Geneva was a receptionist for Dr. C.W. Stephenson in Ringgold for 25 years.

She was preceded in death by parents John Washington Ralston and Ella Perry Ralston, and 12 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, J.L. Smith, sons Michael J. (Carylon) Smith of Chickamauga, Marcus Dale Smith of Dahlonega, GA, and Robert Alan Smith of Ringgold, daughter Constance Leigh Smith of Lafayette, sister Martha Ann Taylor of Dawson County, GA, brother Charles Ralston of Warner Robins, GA, and grandchildren Jarret, John, Derrick, Col, Angela, Amanda, and Andrea, and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 2 PM Monday at Burning Bush Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Brent Jennings officiating.
