Gene Arthur Fairchild

Gene Arthur Fairchild, 83, of Rock Spring passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020. Gene was born in Oneida, TN and was a resident of the Chattanooga/North Georgia area for over 35 years. He was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church. Gene was a loving husband, father and brother. The only thing he loved more than working at EMS and gardening was spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra Joy Fairchild; brothers, George and Milford Fairchild; and sisters, Fannie and Katherine.

Mr. Fairchild is survived by his two sons, Mark (Brenna) Fairchild, of Chattanooga and Kevin (Dena) Fairchild of Ringgold; sisters, Donna, Linda, Judith and Christina; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Services celebrating the life of Gene Fairchild will be 12 Noon Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Headrick officiating. Interment will be in Catoosa Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11-12 PM Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
