Gary Duane White

Gary Duane White, 77, life-long resident of Rossville, Georgia passed away Sunday morning, May 28, 2023, in the Hospice Care Center at Siskins. Born June 15, 1945 to parents Giles Dale White and Louise Crocker White. He was the fifth of six children and a U.S. Army veteran having served as Military Policeman in Vietnam in 1966 and 1967. After his discharge he began a forty-year career in the heating and air conditioning supply business in the Chattanooga area.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; brother Earnest; sisters Judy Womack and Virginia Cantrell; brothers-in-law Mark Womack III, and Troy D. McClure; and sister-in-law Barbara Nichols White.

Gary is survived by his sister Anita McClure of Rock Spring, Georgia; his brother Dale White (Connie) of Decatur, Alabama; sister-in-law Brenda York (Larry), Ringgold; brother-in-law Millard Cantrell of Norfolk, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

A graveside service will be held 2 PM Tuesday June 6, 2023 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends 12:30 – 1:30 PM Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
