French Hayden Newton

Tribute

French Hayden Newton, 77, of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, September 27, 2018. French was born to the late Nick Newton Sr. and Glenna Massengill Newton, in Watauga, TN. He was a resident of the North Georgia area for over 50 years and the owner of Duplicator Supply Company from 1975 – 2018. French was a member of Ringgold United Methodist Church. He was a 32 degree Mason and a member of the Alhambra Shriners. He was also active in the FCA, receiving the Tom Landry Award of Excellence. Some of French’s interests included antique cars, fishing, and golf. However, his true passion in life was his family.

 

He was preceded in death by parents Nick Newton Sr. and Glenna Massengill Newton, brothers, James A. Newton and Nick Newton Jr., and sister, Mary Newton Barton.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Frances Anderson Newton, daughters, Cynthia Newton-Pryor (Dr. Gary Pryor) of St. Pete Beach, FL and Sandra Newton Lamb of Ringgold, grandchildren, Haden (Katie) Lamb and Raegan Lamb, brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Marion Anderson of Loganville, GA, special family friend, Dr. Paul Lawrence, sister, Lillian Sharp of Clarksville, TN, and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Monday, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Randall Massengill and Rev. Jim Turrentine officiating.

Entombment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, with military honors provided by the U.S. Army.
