Floyd Woodrow Lones

Floyd Woodrow Lones, 97, of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He was a resident of Ringgold for 50 years, and a member at Chickamauga Church of Christ. Floyd was a WWII Navy veteran having served in the Pacific Theatre. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and cooking for his friends and family.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Vivian Lones, and his daughter Barbara Gunter. Survivors include his sons Anthony (Darlene) Lones, Curtis (Sherry) Lones, and Keith (Dee) Lones all of Ringgold, brother Jimmy Lones of Huntsville, sisters Patsy Mullins of Taft, TN and Dorothy Adkins of Huntsville, eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his caregiver and companion, Martha Kelley.
 
Graveside services will be held 1 PM Saturday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Brent Jennings officiating and military honors by the U.S. Navy.
