On Saturday, the 16th of January 2021, Faith Noel Hamilton, age 55, passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, after a long and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer.
Faith was born in the Philippines on the 20th of December 1965 to missionaries Daniel and Pauline Sutton. She spent eight years of her childhood there until her family returned stateside, continuing their missionary work from Birmingham, Alabama. Growing up as a missionary kid, Faith developed beautiful creativity and diligent resourcefulness, gifts of character that graced her whole life. She was graduated valedictorian of her high school class at Alliance Christian School in Birmingham, and with honours in psychology from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee. But the passion of Faith's life was to be a godly wife, mother, and homemaker, a calling into which she poured herself with the loving devotion of an artisan. Faith met her husband, Vaughn, in Chattanooga and they married on the 28th of November 1987. They joined Brainerd Hills Presbyterian Church in 1989, and eventually settled in Ringgold, Georgia, where they lived for over 20 years, raising and homeschooling their seven children.
Endlessly self-sacrificing, Faith nurtured and enriched the lives of others with remarkable grace and skill. She understood how to comfort and encourage those in need with perceptive kindness and gentle love. Faith had country sensibilities and she loved old-fashioned traditions. She was an excellent cook and blessed many with her delicious meals and fresh baked fare. Faith had an artist's touch and pursued many crafts. She also enjoyed photography, and possessed a natural eye for composition and a keen ability to capture the energy of candid interactions.
Faith is survived by her husband, their seven children, her parents, and two siblings. Faith was buried at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Ringgold, Georgia, on the 20th of January 2021. In keeping with her wishes, the family gathered with their Pastor for a private committal service. The family wishes to extend thanks to the many loved ones who have been such a support to them in so many ways, especially in this last part of Faith's journey.

Who can find a virtuous woman?
For her price is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her,
So that he shall have no need of spoil.
…
Her children arise up, and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Many daughters have done virtuously,
But thou excellest them all.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain:
But a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands;
And let her own works praise her in the gates.
(Proverbs 31.10-11, 28-31)
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
(Revelation 14.13)
