Edna Mae (Howell) Black

Edna Mae Howell Black, 92, Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord Monday January 28, 2019.  She was a native of Decatur, Alabama born on April 17, 1926 to the late Dee and Nellie Howell. She was a 1944 graduate of Central High School.                            

Mrs. Black was a member of Harrison United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Doyle Black.

Survivors are her children Lebron (Wanda) Black, Renee (Jimmy) Hydas, Marceia (Chad) Center, and Melanie (Fred) Azar; sister, Nella Rae Maynor; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday at the funeral home chapel with Grady Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
