Edith Earlene (Brooks) Land

Edith B. Land passed from this life on the morning of Tuesday, September 3. 2019.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, John L. Land, and brother, Allen B. Brooks.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Donald) McLeod; beloved grandsons, Scott (Susan) McLeod and Christopher (Alexandra) McLeod; four great-grandchildren, Connor, Lauren, Donald and Ainsley McLeod; sister, Dorothy B. Talley, and six nieces and nephews.

Edith was a member of the Boynton United Methodist Church in Ringgold, GA.

An exceptional artist and a life-long student of the arts. She was a charter member of the China Painter’s Guild. Edith was especially noted for her love of painting roses.

Funeral services will be 12 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Nena Jones officiating. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family is appreciative of the loving care provided to Edith by the staff of Morning Pointe Assisted Living on Shallowford Road, Hearth Hospice and long-time devoted friend, Hazel Benn, and her family.
