William Edward "Ed" Patrick, 80, of Ooltewah, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday November 26, 2019. He was born July 28, 1939 in Rossville, GA to the late William and Mary Patrick. Ed was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, North Georgia area, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and the owner of Automotive Parts Exchange. He was a long-time member, deacon, and Sunday School Director at East Ridge Church of God of Prophecy and a member of Mission Glen Baptist Church. For the past 10 years, he has been a member of Ringgold Church of God where he was on the Board of Elders and a member of the Finance Committee. Ed enjoyed reading his bible, praying for others, and doing yard work on his John Deere tractor.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sylvia Wallace, wife Tammy McCall, brother Charles Patrick, and sisters Doris Patrick and Barbara Ouzts.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Ruth Patrick, son Daren (Rita) Patrick of Fort Oglethorpe, step-son Dale (Kim) Hall of Ooltewah, daughter Shelli (Chris) Sweeten of East Ridge, step-daughter Donna Hall Griffin of Rossville, sisters LaVonda (Larkin) Fredrick and Brenda Sanders of Houston, TX, grandchildren Adam Patrick, Allison Patrick, Brady Sweeten, Jonathan (Jennie) Hall, and Zachariah Hall, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at Ringgold Church of God with Rev. Carroll Allen and Rev. Ron Ingram officiating. Interment will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force.
