Dorothy Lockhart

Dorothy Kate Lockhart, 78, of Lookout Mountain passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022. Dorothy was born November 15, 1943 to the late Winfred and Evalee Johnson. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia/ Tennessee area and member of the Lookout Mountain Seventh Day Adventist Church. She loved the Lord and listening to gospel music. She worked as a beautician for many years in Chattanooga and served as a foster parent in her community where she was able to help many children. More than anything she loved taking care of others and spending time with her precious family.

She is preceded by her sisters, Yvonne McPeake and Jearline DeWeese.

Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Don Lockhart; sons, Martin Dewayne Lockhart and Kenneth Rayburn Lockhart; daughter, Angela Starlena; brother, Randall (Barbara) Johnson; grandchildren, Kayla, Shianne, and Dakota; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Sunday  in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bruce Trigg officiating. Interment at Lookout Mountain Seventh Day Adventist Church Cemetery.
