Doris Sue (Morton) Courtney

Doris Sue Morton Courtney, 85, of Flintstone passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at 7:15 in the evening. She was a retired RN trained at Georgia Baptist Hospital and moved to Tucson, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her son, David E. Courtney and husband, John E. Courtney.

Survivors include her grandson, Matthew Watson, of El Paso, TX; great-granddaughters, Sasha and Zoe; sisters, Patsy Prescott, of Flintstone and Barbara Mattox, of Decatur, TN; brothers, Richard Morton, of Ringgold, GA and H. Lewis Morton of Flintstone.

There will no visitation at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held 11 AM Saturday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Pastor Brent Smith officiating.

Pallbearers are Brian Morton, Scott Morton, John Prescott, Jr., Duke Mattox, Jared Burt and John Miller.
