Donnie Edward Brock, 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 7, 2018.  He was a member of Collegedale Community Seventh Day Adventist Church. 

He graduated from Kirkman High School and retired from Eureka Foundry.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Despite battling health problems for many years, he selflessly served his country, family, friends, and neighbors throughout his life.  When he saw a need, he did anything he could to meet that need and to lighten the burdens of others.  His Christ-like love and concern for others was an inspiration to everyone who knew him.  His love of cooking was a blessing as he prepared countless meals for people in their time of need.  He was an avid gardener, historian, and storyteller.  He could lift your spirits with a funny tale or his warm smile.  He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Mr. Brock was preceded in death by his parents, Winford and Sara Brock, sister, Barbara Ann Brock, his grandparents, Charles and Laura Louallen and Ira and Dora Brock, and mother in law, Betty Keith.

Survivors include his loving wife whom he adored for 49 years, Rhonda Keith Brock; son, Keith (Lillien) Brock; daughters, Melody Madaris and Julie (Jacob) Powell; grandsons, Brad Madaris, Aaron Madaris, Lee Ashburn, Zackary Brock, and Noah Shelton; and granddaughter, Kaylie Shelton; brother Carl Thomas (Kay) Brock and sister, Carolyn (Bill) Caulkins.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Steve Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
