Dilbert Garner, 90, of Fort Oglethorpe, went home to be with the Lord, July 1, 2019. He was a faithful member of Westside Baptist Church. Dilbert was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. He served as a missionary for over 18 years. Dilbert retired from Chattanooga Glass Company.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Doris Garner, his four children, Debbie (Roy) Bee, Diane (Gary) Norwood, Jack (Pam) Garner, and Jerry Garner, 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Garner will take place 11 AM, Friday, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tony Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors provided by the U.S. Army.
