Dempsey H. Barnett

Dempsey Hester Barnett, 96, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, July 31, 2022. Dempsey was born September 14, 1925 in Harlan, KY to the late Orbin and Celia Gilbert Barnett. He was a resident of the North Georgia Area for over 50 years and member of Burning Bush Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War 2. Dempsey retired as Plant Superintendent with U.S. Pipe with over 40 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Eunice Barnett; son, Phillip Barnett; siblings, Barlow and Alvis Barnett, Ivalene Heron and Virginia Owen.

Survivors include his son, Victor (Hally) Barnett; granddaughter, Kiesha.

Private Graveside Services will be at Burning Bush Baptist Cemetery.
