Deborah Kay Cornell Cornelison, 64, of Ringgold, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Born to the late Eric Jay Cornell and Nelda Jean Cornell in Cheverly, MD, she had been a resident of Ringgold for the last 40 years. Debby was a long-time resident of North Georgia; she graduated from Chattanooga Valley High School in 1975. Thru the years Debby worked in the accounting departments of several companies: O’Neal Steel, P&S School and Office Supply, and lastly Siskin Steel and Aluminum.
Debby was happiest in her sewing room creating useful and cherished keepsakes for family, friends, and even strangers. If Debby was not sewing, she was baking or cooking something wonderful. If you were lucky enough to have received food, then you know there was love in every bite.
Debby was a member of Grace Memorial Church of Catoosa County Georgia from its inception in 1988. Together with her husband Marvin, they continued to serve the Lord in various capacities including Pastor.
Survivors include her loving, husband of 44 years, Marvin Cornelison; daughter, Robin (Michael) Graham; granddaughters, Cornelia “Ellie” Graham and Caroline Ivy Graham; brothers, Dwight Cornell, Scott (Patti) Cornell; Sister, Kellie Cornell; Stepmother, Mary Cornell, several nieces and nephews and a host of beloved friends.
Family will receive visitors from 3-5 PM on Sunday January 31, 2021 with a memorial service to follow, at Grace Memorial Church of Catoosa County, 7623 Alabama Hwy Ringgold, GA 30736 with Pastor Lonnie Bone and Pastor Bret Sullivan officiating.
