Tribute

Cynthia Foss, 87, of Houston, TX, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in Dalton, GA. Besides her family she loved to garden, paint, golfing, bridge, skiing, playing the piano, all her special cats throughout the years and her Boxford children.

Granny,

I want to tell you how much I adored, appreciated and loved you. You and Grampy have given me years of wonderful childhood memories that I hold close to my heart and recall often. We had the best time spending hours shopping and always finding the best bargains. You made every Christmas magical and unforgettable! I couldn’t wait for school to get out every summer because I knew that I was coming straight to you and Grampy for “Brekast in Texas.” I want you to know I try to go to bed every night with dignity (diggity J). To this day I still answer my door or my phone with “statue statue.” I have your recipe box and I can’t wait to get home and make your chocolate chip cookies for Terrence and Everly!

Goodbye Granny! I will think of you every day. I am so grateful for the time you and Everly had together. I am so happy to know that you are not in any pain anymore. You have my word I will watch after Grampy. I will see you on the other side!

I love you,

Amanda Jennings Cooley

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Foss, daughters, Gaile (Bruce) Jennings, of Dalton, GA, Sandra (Hunt Brawley) Kolankiewicz, of Marietta, OH, sons, Michael & Andrew Foss, her oldest granddaughter, Amanda (Terrence) Cooley, of Bowdon, GA, grandchildren, Madelyn & Trevor Brawley, of Marietta, OH, and great-granddaughter, Everly Cooley.
