Tribute

Charlotte M. Tyson, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday September 22, 2020 at her home where she transitioned from her earthly life of 87 years to her eternal life with her Heavenly Father.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ who always found the best  in everyone and was  willing and ready to help others in need.  Charlotte was a beautiful, kind, loving, compassionate,  Christian woman, Mother and Grandmother who had a quick wit and sense of humor. 

After graduating college from the University  of Chattanooga, alongside her late husband Bobby, they owned and operated the Sportsman's Bar-b-que restaurant on Brainerd Rd for many years.

She was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan who enjoyed socializing,  playing cards, bingo and other games with her friends. She was  always happy and hopeful and was sure to tell everyone that she loved them. Her smile and laughter would always light up a room.

Charlotte  was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bobby " Earl Tyson and  parents, Grace and Charles Moore.

She is survived by her three children, daughter Charise Tyson (Stephen) Hyde of Chattanooga , son Robby (Jamie)Tyson of Chattanooga,  daughter Sheila Tyson (Scott) Palmer of Knoxville and Grandchildren Gracie Tyson, McKinley Tyson, Forest Palmer, Lakelin Palmer (Taylor) Long and Ridge Palmer.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday,  September 29,  at 1:00 P.M. at Forest Hills Cemetery.
