Charles “Herb” Everett Wilson, 103, of Flintstone went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 8, 2022. He was born on January 29, 1918 to the late Grady and Mary Wilson and was life-long resident of Walker County. Mr. Wilson was a member of Flintstone Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a member of the Men’s Bible Class. He had retired from Combustion after 35 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Lynda Light Wilson; his infant son, David Wayne Wilson; brother, George Wilson and sisters, Mary Frances Gilreath and Sarah Wilson.
Survivors include his son, Chuck (Carol) Wilson; daughter, Jodi (David) Bolt; grandchildren, Renee Wilson Jackson and Charles Richard Wilson and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday at Flintstone Baptist Church with Pastor Brent Smith and Rev. Bill Ramage officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Thursday at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
