Charles Edward Ingram, 86 of Rossville passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at his home. He was born August 26, 1931 in Cartersville, GA and was a long time resident of Acworth, GA before moving to North Georgia. Charles was a member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Charles was instrumental in starting an orphanage at a woman’s college in Seoul, South Korea. After the war, Charles went to work for Lockheed in 1953 and retired in 1989 as manager of Labor Relations. While at Lockheed, he attended college, earning his Masters of Law degree in 1961. He later went on to earn his M.B.A. from Emory.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 59 years, Marjory Ingram.
Survivors include his wife of 5 years, Delores Ingram; daughters, Pam Fleming, Tracey Barker and step-daughters, Cheri Sanders and Erin Robinson; grandson, Chase Fleming and step-grandson, Damian Weyburn and granddaughters, Alicia and Amelia; great grandchildren, Emma, Charlie and Henry Fleming and Magnolia Jennings.
A memorial service will be held 11:30 AM Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 10-11:30 AM Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
