Carol Lynn (Morris) Smith

Carol Lynn Morris Smith, 79, of Chattanooga, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 at her residence. Carol was born in Birmingham, Alabama and graduated from Central High School (Chattanooga).  She was of the Baptist faith. Carol cherished her grandchildren and her beloved dogs. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Smith, Jr.; her father Samuel J. Morris; mother, Lillian Seale Morris; and her sister, Jane Young.

Survivors include sons, Scotty (Heather) Smith, Philip (Allison) Smith; grandchildren Braxton Smith, Peyton Smith, Chandler Smith, Gracy Smith, Taylor Hutchins, Gabe McGuire, and Aidan McGuire; great-granddaughters Bella Smith, Sarah Hutchins and Leighanna Hutchins, along with several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Dr. David Hunter officiating.
