Thomas “Brian” Willingham
April 29, 1963 – August 25, 2021
Our loving husband, father, and grandfather, Thomas Brian Willingham went home to Jesus on August 25, 2021.
Brian was born to Sidney “Tommy” and Esther “Jean” Willingham on April 29, 1963 in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Brian graduated from Ringgold High School and went to college at Dalton and Southern Tech. For over 30 years, Brian enjoyed a rewarding career in industrial electricity and generator repair. Upon retirement, Brian was devoted to spending time with family and supporting the family businesses.
As dedicated husband, father and grandfather, Brian provided an upright moral compass for his family and was always able to turn “routine” into “fun.” He loved classic cars and trucks with a passion, all things mechanical and electrical, and was usually always up for a good intellectually stimulating debate. He was kind to all – good friend to many - best friend to few. Throughout his entire life, Brian held an unwavering faith in God. Brian joins his mother and father in heaven and is survived by his wife, Tammy; sons, Dave (Caitlin), Joseph, and Steven; grandchildren, Tommy, Olivia, and Caleb; sisters Sherry (Chris), and Lisa (Steve), several nieces and nephews and large extended family who all love and will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA on Sunday, August 29 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm (3:00 – 4:00 pm for family). Funeral service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, on Monday, August 30 at 11:00 am, with graveside prayer at Woodstation Cemetery afterward.
Faith is the Victory
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27, KJV)
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4, KJV)
