Bob Plemons

Jack M. “Bob” Plemons, 83, of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday April 22, 2023.

Bobby was a member of the Burning Bush Baptist Church and had served the citizens of Catoosa County as County Manager for many years, as well as serving the citizens of Chattooga and Gilmer County.

He retired from the Department of Corrections for the State of Georgia where he was a Legislative Liaison.   Mr. Plemons also served on the Catoosa County Soil and Conservation Board as well as the Board of Corrections for the State of Georgia.

Bobby’s whole life was serving others and making a difference.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Glenda Johnson Plemons, brothers Edward, Billy and Harold Plemons, and sisters Betty Long, and Darlene Howlington. Survivors are his two loving daughters Christa (Jack) Karr of Tobaccoport, Tn and Joy (Ryan) Huff of Woodstock, GA and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1PM Saturday April 29, 2023 with Sen. Jeff Mullis, Tim Ward and Rev. Dennis McNulty officiating. 

Interment in the Burning Bush Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and from 11- 1 on Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
