Bill Hugh Clifford

William “Bill” Clifford, 89, of Graysville passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 12, 1933 in Vossburg, Mississippi to the late Harry and Nellie Clifford. Bill served in the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Clifford retired from the Chattanooga Times for over 40 years. Bill was a loyal hard working provider for his family and enjoyed vegetable gardening and cutting wood.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Delores Self Clifford; brother, Jack Clifford and granddaughter, Kristie Beacham.

Survivors include his daughters, Lisa (James) Whyte, Lynn Clifford Mason and Angie Clifford; grandchildren, Casey (Aerial), Jessica (Stephanie), Isaac, Thomas, Tyler, Andrew and Destinee; great-grandchildren, Jaden, Hunter, Khloe and Magnolia and his nephew, Keith Clifford.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Graysville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 12-2 PM Monday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
