Bill Beene

Billy Ray Beene, 83, of Fort Oglethorpe passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Bill was born April 4, 1938 in Soddy Daisy to the late Hershel and Alma White Beene. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia/ Tennessee area and partner of ChristWay Community Church. "Daddy Bill"and his wife "Gran" served as the 2 year olds Sunday School Teachers for over 30 years together. Bill was the owner/operator of Rock Spring Barber Shop for 55 years. He never met a stranger and loved serving others.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Glenda Beene; brother, James Edward Beene.

Survivors include his children, Michael (Teresa) Beene and Tonya (Henry) Furr; brother, Alvin (Barbara) Beene; sister, Mary Jo (J.W.) Sparks; grandchildren, Tyler, Alex, Hershel and Patterson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 PM, Saturday at ChristWay Community Church with Pastor John Waters officiating, 6201 Mountain View Rd, Ooltewah, TN 37363.
