Betty Ann Draper, 87, of Ringgold, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Betty was born January 29, 1933, in Newnan, GA to the late Louis and Lucille Houston. Mrs. Draper was a lifelong resident of the north Georgia community and was a longtime member of Newnan Spring United Methodist Church. Betty worked at the Catoosa County School Board for 20 years, volunteered at Hutcheson Medical Center, was active with her husband in the American Legion, served as the president of the Ladies Auxiliary, and she loved gardening, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and grandchildren. She will be remembered for making every holiday and birthday special.
Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Jack M. Draper, brothers, Bill Houston and Louie Houston.
Survivors are daughters LeeAnne (Greg) Smith, Ringgold, and Kathy (David) Thompson, Fort Oglethorpe, grandchildren, Beth (Deron) Huling, Kevin (Liz) Thompson, Jack (Kate) Smith, Matthew (Nicole) Smith, Joshua (Amber) Smith, 11 great-grandchildren, and niece, Amy Houston.
