Betty Lee (Swift) Brown

Betty Lee Swift Brown, 84, from Soddy Daisy, passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 29, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. 

Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, hummingbirds, and loved the beach. 

Betty was preceded in her death by her parents Paul and Treva Swift, and her nephew Thomas Douthit. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ray W. (Bill) Brown; daughter Pam (Steve) Hensley, son Greg (Carolyn) Brown, sister Paulette (Rick) Douthit, and 2 grandchildren Rebecca Hensley and Daniel Hensley.

The family would like to thank Mary Kincer and Nancy Haggerty as well as Amanda, Nicki, and Amber of Hospice of Chattanooga for their extra special care and kindness during Betty's illness. Also special thanks to the Mowbray Mountain Fire Department First Responders for their help and kindness over the past few years.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 5th at Heritage Funeral Home at 3239 Battlefield Parkway, Fort Oglethorpe, GA at 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow in the chapel. 

Pallbearers are Greg Brown, Steve Hensley, Daniel Hensley, Denis Ceraolo and Michael Watkins.
