Barbara (Stevison) Beckmann

Barbara Beckmann, 80, of Ringgold, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.  Barbara was born July 28, 1938 in Cleveland, TN to the late Dennis and Margaret Stevison.  She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, North Georgia area and graduate of Lakeview High School, Class of 1955.  Barbara was of the Baptist faith and served as a registered nurse for over 40 years.  She was an avid traveler, enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and liked to read in free time.  Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Dr. George Beckmann, son, Lance D. Beckmann; her parents, and step-father, Harold Hutcherson.

Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth “Libby” (Ron M.D.) Crabtree, Wenatchee, WA; son, Richard “Rick” (Tammy) Beckmann, Chattanooga; daughter-in-law, Lisa Beckmann, Macon GA; brother, Richard (Sarah) Stevison, Ringgold; grandchildren, Ryan and Will Beckmann, and Madison Felts; great-grandchildren, Royce and Emerson Felts, and Sterling Beckmann; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. George Rye officiating.  Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM, Saturday, at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
