Alma Killingsworth, 81, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 22, 2020. Alma was born in Scott County, TN on April 4, 1939 to the late Arlie Phillips and Maudella Watson. She was of the Methodist faith, and was a member of East Lake United Methodist Church. Alma had a big heart, which she shared by volunteering at the Ladies of Charity Thrift Store. She enjoyed writing, reading, and drawing in her spare time. Alma was the best grandmother and great-grandmother, and she loved her pets – Fred the basset hound and Killer the cat.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster James Killingsworth; parents, Arlie and Maudella Phillips; along with all her siblings.
Survivors include her daughter Angela (Robert) Cargile, son James Killingsworth, grandchildren Robbie “Scooter” (Katie) Cargile and Josh (Brook) Cargile, and great-grandchildren Maddie, Cheyenne, Eli, Taylor, and Braxton.
A graveside service will be held 11AM Friday at Hooker Cemetery with Robert Cargile officiating.
