Allene "Lala" Fortenberry

Allene “Lala” Fortenberry, 86, of Ringgold, went to her heavenly home Thursday, May 27, 2021. Mrs. Fortenberry was with the Catoosa County Public School system since 1968, where she spent most of her days as a Para Pro at Tiger Creek Elementary School, a job she loved very dearly. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
Allene is survived by her husband of 68 years, William H. Fortenberry, Jr, daughter Sherri Poindexter of Fort Oglethorpe, granddaughter Paige (Ryan) Longwith of Harrison, TN, grandson Blake Poindexter of Fort Oglethorpe, her “precious little darling” great-grandson Kash Longwith, sister Juanita McMahon of Dalton, GA, several nieces and nephews, and very close friends.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Rocky Bradford officiating.
Interment in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
