Alice Cochran Rigney

Our beautiful Mama, Nana, Sister, Aunt & Friend went home to be with the Lord Jesus Thursday, July 21, 2022.

She was lovingly cared for in the home of Valerie Beth & Randy Shoates for the last several weeks. The memories shared during this time are so precious to us all.

Born to her beloved mother, Ophie E. Cochran in 1936 of Dalton, Georgia, later moving to Ringgold, she lived the kind of life that made her happy. Her faith guided her decisions and her heart was full of love for her family and friends. After she retired from Babb Lumber Company, she enjoyed her roses, music, reading and quilting.

She was always the one we could go to with our concerns and knew she would pray continuously. Bibleway Baptist was her loving church family and even as she was unable to attend in person the last few weeks, she looked forward to listening to the inspiring sermons online. She also looked forward to spending Sunday luncheons with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Playing monopoly with Masun & Teagan gave her so much joy!

Survived by her daughters and family, Valerie Beth & Randy Shoates, Brenda Grogan, Karen Gates & Rick Russell.

Grandchildren: Nathan Ellis, Shannon & Bryan Talley, Maranda & Lane Hall, Mandy & Dusty Parker, Jami & Matt Reid, Robbie Grogan, Matt & Jessica Gates, Tyler Gates.

Great Grandchildren: Triston Ledford, Alyssa Talley, Brett Talley, Hudson Hall, Davis Parker, Asher Parker, Masun Gates, Teagan Gates, Luci Reid.

Brothers and Sisters: Harold (Joanie) Cochran, Odell Cochran and Buena Babb. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

We love and will miss you forever.
