Alberta Ellis

Alberta Ellis, 85, of Wildwood, GA went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at her daughter’s residence. She was born in Lookout Mountain, GA November 18, 1935 a daughter of the late Burley and Virginia Catherine Massey Higdon. Mrs. Ellis was a lifelong resident of the North GA area and retired from Lookout Mountain TN Elementary School after many years of serving in the cafeteria. She attended Clearview Baptist Church.
 
Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her loving husband Carl Ellis in 1996. She was preceded in death by two daughters Catherine and Sandra Ellis.
 
Survivors are her loving daughter Wanda (Willie) Slack of Wildwood, GA, sister Sara Allen, three granddaughters Brandy McRoy, Mindy Slack, and Selina Slack-Hickey, seven great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Elijah, Noah, Emma, Olivia, Scarlett (Rosie), and Cooper. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
 
A graveside service will be held 1 PM Friday at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Rev. Herman Kapherr officiating.
 
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
