Sarah Jane Calhoun, 91, of Alexian Village, Signal Mountain, TN, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Jene Wright, and her grandson, Kevin Calhoun. Sally spent her life as an educator touching the lives of young children for 35 years. Her career began in Pennsylvania, then Delaware and Virginia before a long retirement on Hilton Head Island, SC.  She enjoyed gardening, painting, and reading.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Tom Calhoun of Signal Mountain, TN.; Sister Betsy Young of Ephrata, PA.; daughter Jean Williamson and husband Ed of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; daughter Betsy Moreau and husband Ed of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; son Bob Calhoun and wife Jean of Ringgold, GA; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
